He immediately made an offensive joke about me.

 

I froze up. I pretended not to hear it.

 

It wasn’t even that I was physically afraid of him, I just didn’t know how to respond without stuttering.

 

Afterwards she told me, “I don’t understand how you could let someone talk to you like that. I just can’t see you the same way anymore.”

 

Beyond heartbroken, I couldn’t understand why things like this kept happening. 

 

I had dealt with severe social anxiety my whole life. 

 

So once I had some money after college, I put all of it into learning “social skills”-- communication workshops, hiring “dating coaches”, etc.

 

Some things seemed to work, superficially. But over the previous year, I kept getting harsh reality checks:

 

My boss fired me because I wasn’t assertive enough. I kept getting rejected by women and disrespected by men.

And I even developed psychogenic ED…

 

Little did I realize, these were all the result of being in a catabolic state.

 

This state was the root of my many other problems:

Procrastination, indecisiveness, negative internal dialogue, and an inability to relax.

But I didn’t know that yet…

All I knew was that everything in my life seemed to be off. 

So I went on a quest to try to “fix myself”.

Fast-forward to now, I made this course because it’s what I wish I had known 20 years ago. (I’m now 36.) It would have saved me thousands of hours, and tens of thousands of dollars.

Now I understand that a man's mental health (and performance) is directly tied to brain chemistry.

One evening about ten years ago, I found myself aggressively confronted by a guy at a house party.

I didn't know why he was trying to start a fight with me.

But then I could see in his eyes that he was in pain. He was a little drunk, and jealous that the young lady he was hitting on, had been sitting on my lap.

I relaxed. I kept strong eye contact. I asked him a few questions. He became flustered at first, then calmed down. He awkwardly excused himself.

I "won".

I won because I was stronger. Not physically (he was way bigger than me), but I was emotionally stronger.

I remembered the time years ago at the festival when I was the one who got flustered.

And I realized everything in my life was different. I felt confident socially. Expressing myself authentically was easy. I didn’t put things off. I no longer had dysfunctions in the bedroom.

It was like a “switch flipped”. (Which I now know was a shift to an anabolic state.)

Since then I have helped hundreds have a similar “switch flip”.
